For nearly 100 years, Park Tower has been an icon and home for a diverse range of residents including politicians, riot refugees, 16th Street elites, and working-class citizens. Today, the building continues to be the home of a diverse community that composes the heart and soul of Washington, DC.

History of Adams Morgan

The name Adams Morgan – once hyphenated – is derived from the names of two formerly segregated area elementary schools — the older, all-black Thomas P. Morgan Elementary School (now defunct) and the all-white John Quincy Adams Elementary School.

History of Park Tower

Park Tower is an historic structure located in the Adams Morgan neighborhood of Washington, D.C. It has been listed on the District of Columbia Inventory of Historic Sites since 1988 and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
